On the New Year’s Eve Kyivstar three years running arranges holiday for children-orphans — inmates of 9 specialized institutions from different regions of Ukraine. In addition to traditional Santa Claus children met cartoon cars — main characters of Walt Disney «The Cars».

Within complex social program «For people, for country» on the occasion of Invalid’s Day, Kyivstar equipped specialized computer class in Institute of Correctional Pedagogic and Psychology of Dragomanov National University. On the basis of purchased by Kyivstar modern equipment, blind and deaf-mute students can study in this class, as well as those students who are going to work in educational establishments for children with pathology.

54 talented Ukrainian students from 9 technical universities of Ukraine will get name scholarships from Kyivstar in 2006—2007. This year program of Ukrainian students’ support, which has been implemented during 3 years, includes National Technical University of Vinnitsa.

During 2006—2007 school years over 500 children-inmates from 8 boarding schools all over Ukraine will get basic computer skills and develop already gained knowledge. Kyivstar continues to teach children without parental guardianship within scope of social program «Together we will win».

On the 1^st of September world famous football player Andriy Shevchenko visited Kyiv boarding school for orphans №3. He conducted master-class for school inmates. That became possible due to the Kyivstar «Always together» social program, which is embodied three years running.

In 2006 within large-scale social project «Mobile ambulance» Kyivstar provide more than 500 ambulance cars with specially enlightened packing boxes all over Ukraine. This equipment is designed for more efficient work. And Kyiv municipal station is equipped with computers.

Within large-scale social program «For people, for country» Kyivstar Company continues with long-term project of children-orphans’ support «Together we will win!» During several years company takes care of 9 children’s homes all over Ukraine. On the occasion of International Children’s Day, besides provision of daily wants of institutions, Kyivstar prepared personal presents to its wards.

Kyivstar prepared special present for war veterans on Victory Day. On this day Kyivstar «operators» provide an opportunity for veterans to communicate with brother-soldiers fro other cities, remembers feats of arms, and congratulate each other.

Kyivstar Company proceeds with implementing of the large-scale social project «NO to loneliness». Created within all-Ukrainian program «For people, for country!», project developed into the key direction of Kyivstar’s charity activities. At present, Kyivstar enlarges project — during this year help from Kyivstar will be delivered to lonesome aged people in 10 regions of Ukraine.
