USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Services Data) special data exchange service, which provides information exchange between subscribers and Operators special application in the real time mode. USSD works on all existing hand sets of GSM standard.

You may check or recharge your account in few seconds using the USSD service:
- Balance status check: *111#
- Account recharge with scratch-cards: *123*(card code)#
Lets examine this situation on example:
Assume that subscriber wants to know about his or her balance status. In order to use this service, subscriber dials on his or her hand set the following symbols *111# and presses the call key. This procedure does not differ from making an ordinary call. Most of the hand sets will display the inscription Requesting instead of usual Calling. It means that GSM network is trying to process subscribers request.
The * sign at the beginning of the command and the # sign in the end of it means that USSD connection is active. After the request is processed the information about the balance status will be displayed.
In order to activate scratch-card with XXXXXXXXXXXXXX code, subscribers just have to dial the following succession of symbols:
Balance recharge with scratch-card *123* XXXXXXXXXXXXXX# where XXXXXXXXXXXXXX is the scratch-card number.
After the request is processed the information about transaction execution or the failure warning will appear on the hand set display.
