В ходе спецопроса компании GfK Ukraine для еженедельного журнала «Корреспондент» эксперты назвали лучших в стране работодателей. «Киевстар» признан не только лучшим работодателем среди телекоммуникационных компаний, но и в итоговом рейтинге по всем отраслям занял почётное первое место.

On July 9 «Kyivstar» mobile operator announced start of Nina Matvienko and «Zoloti Klyuchi» charity tour. It will be held as a part of a «No to loneliness» social program of «Kyivstar» company.

Alan Robert, world-famous urban-climber, visited Ukraine in order to open National program «Communication for the future’s sake», devoted to the 10^th anniversary of Kyivstar. During the commencement ceremony he conquered glass tower of Kyivstar central office, climbing on its top on outer wall without climb equipment.

On 31^st of May, graduates of 8 children boarding schools all over Ukraine will get certificates «PC user: MS Windows, MS Office, Internet Explorer». Computer courses are organized by Kyivstar within social program «Together we will win!».

On 12^th of May, 2007 in Kyiv too place final games of Ukrainian school championship DJUICE-GOAL 2007. In last matches the champion was determined — young football players from Syhovska school (Lviv). Kids won the major prize — trip to London, the fatherland of football!

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Ukraine, a UN country team agency KyivStar, «Astelit», and UMC, the three leading mobile operators in Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish cooperation on preventing trafficking in human beings.

All subscribers of the biggest Ukrainian operator had an opportunity to offer own variant of National Motto for Ukraine. The best 45 variants, selected by experts from Hrihoriy Skovoroda Philosophy Institute out of 19 000 of all proposals, were sent to the President of Ukraine and Verkhovna Rada speaker on behalf on Kyivstar Company and all its subscribers with the proposal to accept and approve official National Motto of Ukraine.

On 14^th of September 2006 Kyivstar starts second stage of social project «Mobile culture» — «Driving: mobile security is on!» program. Current program informs society about risk caused by mobile phones usage while driving a car.

On the 1^st of September world famous football player Andriy Shevchenko visited Kyiv boarding school for orphans #3. He conducted master-class for school inmates. That became possible due to the Kyivstar «Always together» social program, which is embodied three years running.

On 27^th of August within «Kyivstar: Nature within reach» project took place giraffes’ birthday celebration in Kyiv Zoo. Ace, Base and Djuice appeared in municipal zoo last year. Celebration became one of the most outstanding events of this year, ’cause amusing entertaining program was prepared for all Zoo guests — friends of three exotic animals.

Ukraine celebrates 15^th anniversary of Independence. Country has got National Emblem, National Flag, National Anthem, but still hasn’t got official National Motto.

Title sponsor of Ukrainian National and Youth football teams hands over additional award to players of National team within Ukrainian football support program «Your country. Your football. Your Kyivstar». Igor Litovchenko, Kyivstar president, passed certificate on 2 525 000 UAH and symbolic heart of Ukrainian fans to Grigoriy Surkys, FFU president. Football support program goes on till the end of current year.

In 2006 Kyiv Zoo support program initiated by Kyivstar enlarges its scale and becomes national. Leader of Ukraine’s market of mobile communications Kyivstar Company comes out with initiative of zoos’ support all over Ukraine in national program «Kyivstar: nature within reach».

Kyivstar prepared special present for war veterans on Victory Day. On this day Kyivstar «operators» provided an opportunity for veterans to communicate with brother-soldiers from other cities, remembers feats of arms, and congratulate each other.
